The Cookie Jar

"Don't eat any cookies until AFTER dinner,".

That is what my mother said. Unfortunatley, I wasn't able to listen. I was too busy staring at the cookie jar.

I could smell it. I could smell the sweet aroma covering my nose. I slowly grabbed one...

                             SMACK!
My mom's hand stopped me before I could grab anything. " WHAT DID I JUST SAY?" my mom yelled. But finally, she did leave the room. And there was only one thing for me to do. I reached out my hand. I was so close...
But I did not hear the creaking of the door behind me.

I really didn't see that coming. Then came the yelling. And the punishment-

" Go To Your Room."

Well, I kinda did. I mean,  went inside, but I wasn't feeling sorry like my mother imagined. I was busy with my master plan. Obviously to get the cookies. Here was my plan -

I knew, my mother always takes a nap in the afternoon. Also, my little sister would be asleep too. My dad is at work, so I'll be all alone. And then, I simply grab the cookies. I leave little kid toys in it, so it looks like my sister did it. Then I eat the cookies.

It was a great plan I must say, but, it backfired. Quickly. I crept near the kitchen. I slowly opened the jar and peeked inside. What I saw was unbelievable. All I saw were crumbs and a note that said -

i got the cokies first. linsy.
Ok, I REALLY got surprised. I mean, how did she reach the counter? I didn't even know she could WRITE. She has better spelling than ME. Creak. Oh no. I remember that very familiar sound.

" Hello, my dear, DEAR, daughter."
My mom was MAD. So, I ran away. That was a close one.

Moral Of The Story :  Always listen to your parents
GET THE COKIES BEFOR LINSY.

Today, I went to the Cavalia Horse Show, and it was amazing. It was really big, and the horses were beautiful. It was mostly had running horses and people dancing. It had no words, but it was so interesting! There were a ton of people there, and equipment. It was in this huge white tent like thing which was very dark on the inside. The dancers had amazing performances, and the horses seemed to glide across the room. They were so fast and nice to look at as they run. Also, some people did tricks, on hoops, or just really good gymnastics. At the end the horses and all the performers gathered, in the water! The horses ran and splashed in the water. It was super  cool and I really   enjoyed the show. You should definitely go to their next one.
